Women's Retreat: Sequim

JOY! That is the word that comes to mind to describe the “Such a Time as This” woman’s retreat in Sequim, WA. The blessings that poured out throughout the retreat were gifts of joy, laughter, tears, compassion, and empathy just to name a few. The woman received and shared with each other all of these gifts. From the arrival to the departure excitement and love was the spirit that covered the woman. There was music, dancing, birthday celebrations, wonderful meals, and a lot of hugs.

A pre-kick off of the retreat started Friday when the woman from out of town arrived for the week-end. We had a great dinner at a local Mexican food restaurant late afternoon with a lot of laughter. We brought in Shabbat with the traditional candle lighting, prayer, wine and hollow bread. We celebrated a birthday with the traditional Happy Birthday song and delicious lemon cupcakes. The rest of the evening was spent with the Praise and Worship team playing beautiful music and the other woman joining in with dances of praise.

The praise and worship team from Bethel Congregation, Port Orchard, WA filled us with inspiring music that enriched our worship of Yahweh to start the retreat off on Saturday. The dance leader from Bethel, led the ladies that were inspired to dance in worship to Yahweh during this time.

We were blessed by so many heart felt testimonies. The sharing of these stories from the heart made each one of us stop, process and incorporate what was said into our own being, enriching our understandings and enlarging our perspective of life. With new introspection we are challenged and encouraging to improve ourselves and to reach out to others that may have similar needs, a realization how large the necessity is in the world for compassion and love. It was a special treat to have two wonderful Spirit filled woman from Russia and Korea that shared with us the WORD in their native languages of Russian and Korean. Yahweh is Universal, Praise Him!

The gift from the Rau Kadash (Holy Spirit) for this retreat was that it was for each woman individually but also for a bonding of part of the body of Yeshua, a Sisterhood for Yahweh. The message that was given for these woman to receive was that each one of them had unique gifts to give to the world. The gathering of woman for this retreat was a spring board for them to feel encouraged and empowered as Esther was to go forth and do the work in the world that Yahweh has called them to do, “For Such a Time as This”.

We all enjoyed a special time at lunch visiting and sharing even more of ourselves with each other.

The “Such a Time as This” teaching was ended with the women joining in an intercessory prayer circle joining our voices in unity to cry out to the Lord and thank Him for all our many blessings.

All of the woman that attended this retreat made it so very special. I would like to give a special thanks to several of the woman that were so helpful in the background that made the retreat such a success.

It is my prayer that each woman that attended the “Such a Time as This” retreat was blessed in such a way that she will be able to incorporate and enrich her life with the twelve qualities of Esther. That she has gained a new and different perspective of herself and tools that will enrich her in her daily walk with others and with Yahweh. This retreat was a great blessing to Weaver’s Thread Ministries and we want to thank each of you that attended and most of all our Heavenly Father for his continual blessing and covering.
